Kai Thorsgard

Attorney

Kai Thorsgard joined Braaten Law Firm in 2023 for the purpose of assisting ranchers, farmers, and landowners with all their legal needs. Kai has a background in civil litigation, having practiced on both the Plaintiff’s and the Defendant’s side in a variety of matters.

Prior to joining Braaten Law Firm, Kai worked at a Montana-based civil defense and insurance defense firm. Prior to entering law school, Kai worked for the US Department of Agriculture – Forest Service as a wildland firefighter for nearly a decade. He has a wonderful wife and son, as well as a rowdy young black lab. In his free time, Kai can be found hunting, mountain biking, and spending time with his family. Kai is admitted to practice in the State Courts of North Dakota and Montana, as well as the Federal District Courts of North Dakota and Montana.
